Bringing to life the vision of the Collaroy Community Group to provide a place of healing, Sargood on Collaroy has evolved as a joint initiative between the Sargood Foundation and Royal Rehab, with support from icare.
Built on land donated by Frederick George Sargood in 1918, the purpose-built resort is the site of a rich history of care and healing, with the land previously home to an extension of the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children used for nursing children with polio and tuberculosis back to health. The need for this facility eventually ceased and the site was declared “surplus to requirements”.
