Rapper LL Cool J tackled a burglar in the kitchen of his house at 1 am yesterday morning (Pacific Standard Time) and held him until the police arrived.
"There was a brief physical confrontation between the two," said police spokesman Richard French. According to French, the 58-year-old intruder appeared to be homeless.
A statement released by his publicist Rhett Usry reads: "LL Cool J and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."
When LL Cool J tackles a home intruder, however, it is not likely to stay a private matter. Stay tuned for the meme flood. In the meantime, treat his #1 hit Mama Said Knock You Out as the autobiography that it definitely is.
"I'm gonna tie you up and let you understand/ that I'm not your average man/ when I got a jammy in my hand."
