The 11th Czech and Slovak Film Festival in Sydney brings to the Newtown Dendy Cinema 5 days packed with an eclectic range of great films:
Choose from films including a pre-war drama revolving around a discovery of the dead newborn intersex baby (We Have Never Been Modern/Usvit), Czech-canadian co production with a theme of love, loyalty, betrayal - and collaboration with a secret police (Reveillon) or a thriller exploring the impact of social media on our lives #annaismissing. The festival will finish with a contemporary Slovak comedy and of course there is also a traditional Czechoslovakian kids fairytale.
As each year the festival brings a collection of short films (before each film), many of which are decorated by international awards.
The five-day showcase will kick off on Wednesday March 20th by a festive Opening night with drinks on arrival.
