Grammy Award-winning US rock supergroup The Saboteurs—Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler—are playing their debut Australian headline shows this April. They will be rocking Melbourne's Regent Theatre and Sydney's Big Top following what will also be their first ever NZ show, happening at Auckland's Powerstation.
With each member having revered solo work and musical credits including 'The White Stripes' (White), 'The Dead Weather' (White, Lawrence), 'The Greenhornes' (Lawrence, Keeler) and 'Blanche' (Lawrence), The Saboteurs are no strangers to critical acclaim. In December 2018, they dropped two songs, marking their first new music in over 10 years. 'Sunday Driver' comes with a video directed by acclaimed photographer, filmmaker and inventor Steven Sebring. 'Now That You're Gone' is captured by Beyoncé and Jay Z director Dikayl Rimmasch. The video features burlesque performer Gia Genevieve. Both tracks are out now via Third Man Records.
The Saboteurs' debut album 'Broken Boy Soldiers' entered the UK charts at #2, #7 in the US, #12 in NZ and #14 in AU. Off the back of singles such as 'Broken Boy Soldier' and 'Hands', the record snatched Mojo's 'Album of the Year' award.
2008's 'Consolers of the Lonely' featured another kick-ass single 'Salute Your Solution' and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album. The band also recently celebrated the record's 10th anniversary, announcing a special reissue package via the 'Third Man Vault' subscription series. The band are currently cooking up a new allbum projected to be released this year.
Book your tickets fast and let The Saboteurs sabotage your emotions with their rollicking rock songs this April!
